Joyful Living

About Hudson Community Living

Joyful Living at HCL means creating opportunities for fun, exploration, and celebration every day. Our community is designed to be a place where residents can experience the fullness of life, surrounded by friends, engaging activities, and a vibrant social atmosphere.

A Dream Home

  • Our residents will enjoy the privacy of personal space, companionship of a roommate and/or caregiver, and the security of knowing staff are always nearby.
  • Units will be connected by a garden path, and residents will eat breakfast and dinner together, furthering a sense of community.
  • Located in a residential neighborhood within walking distance from the city center and close to their families, our residents will have the unique opportunity to live joyfully while aging in place.

A Community of Support

Our Community of Support is the heart of HCL—a place where residents, families, staff, and volunteers come together to create an environment filled with care, understanding, and encouragement. Here, every individual is cherished, and everyone plays a vital role in building a vibrant, fun and exciting community.

A Busy and Fulfilling Day

  • Each morning, residents will head out — to their workplace, their local dayhab, or for volunteer and group activities.
  • Whatever their day entails, they will foster a deeper connection to the wider community, and a greater sense of self-fulfillment, enrichment, and pride.

A Growing Community Impact

While the primary beneficiaries of HCL will be the residents who will call HCL their home, our impact on the community and many lives we touch will be much larger. HCL’s ripple effect will engage hundreds of people and places in Hudson’s community, including:

Seven

direct staff members

Dozens

of certified caregivers

Hundreds

of mentors and volunteer activities

Many

local business leaders through employment

An entire

community of developmentally disabled adults via events

Parent & Guardian Inclusion

At HCL, the active participation of parents and guardians is essential to our community’s success. Parents/guardians contribute volunteer hours and serve on committees that support our mission. Their involvement directly strengthens our programs and fosters a supportive, inclusive environment
